Did Charlie get lost again? You can find him with an app from Dactyl!
If you have a pet, you can imagine the horror of it getting lost. One day, your dog Charlie smells Bella from the other side of the city, another day he is fascinated by wild animals or sometimes he just can’t stand all the noise… And every time he runs away. Fortunately, modern times already have a trick for these cases. To help others or yourself during an emergency, it’s always a good idea to have a Yaga app installed.
Chips are still not enough
We already have a system for dogs in the Czech Republic - to control the breeds and quickly identify the dog, all owners have been obliged to mark their pets with a microchip since 2020. However, this is not the case for cats and other pets. We Czechs love animals, in Europe, we hold first place in their number per capita, so, naturally, some will get lost. Currently, there are only web solutions and databases for lost dogs. When Charity apps turned to us and wanted to help with an application that would assist in finding any lost animal friends, we were pleased to participate in a project with such an important impact.
An overview of lost pets within your area in a few clicks
Today, almost everyone has a mobile phone connected to the Internet. If all animal lovers get the opportunity to discover this application, it will save a lot of nerves, time, and work of creating and handing out leaflets or writing posts.
The Yaga application is simple and very functional. How does it work and what can the app do?
- Registration – enter the email and phone number where you can be reached.
- Making the pet’s profile – add a little basic information.
- Report the loss – send the information about the loss to the users nearby.
- Overview of lost pets – you can see all lost animals in your area or in a specific place.
- Smart notifications – you will be notified if someone is lost within 5 km.
Intuitive app covering all scenarios
Of course, we Dactyl mates also have fauna friends. We were really thorough in creating the app. Before its publication, we made numerous tests with real users from a target group. We wanted not only to follow the assignment but to also make the app as intuitive as possible (cause every second counts during a search). Therefore, we have simulated all key use cases, analyzed them, and incorporated them into the design and solution. Result? An application for a quick return home.
We develop useful apps, systems, and websites
We have a lot of experience with "space and time" tools. For example, the complex system of the Brno Exhibition Center was born on our keyboards. From applications, for example, the one for tourists in Prague and the wine region of Velké Bílovice, or for visitors of the Rock for People festival. But we know what to do in other areas too.
